Hi Everyone,
This is a friendly reminder about two upcoming ALICE (Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Evacuate) Safety Trainings taking place this week at Our Lady of Mercy. We invite all parishioners to consider attending one of these important opportunities to learn practical safety and emergency response strategies.
These trainings will be led by our parish security consultant, Brian Scopa, and are designed to provide practical, life-saving strategies for responding to emergencies and other critical incidents while helping us better care for those entrusted to us.
While we pray that such situations never occur, being prepared allows us to respond with greater confidence, clarity, and care.
This Training Is for Everyone
Both trainings are open to all parishioners. You do not need to serve in a ministry to attend.Whether you are a parent, grandparent, usher, catechist, volunteer, ministry leader, or simply a parishioner who wants to be better prepared, we encourage you to join us. The more members of our parish family who are equipped with these practical tools, the better we can care for one another in an emergency.
ALICE Training for the Entire Parish

This session will focus on responding to incidents within the Parish Life Center, where many of our ministries, Family Faith Formation programs, Grow Groups, children's programs, and parish events take place.
🍕 Jet's Pizza will be served.

Important Note
The training content at both sessions will be substantially the same; however, the practical simulation and scenarios will be different because each training takes place in a different environment. For that reason, some parishioners and volunteers may find value in attending both sessions.
Please invite fellow parishioners, ministry volunteers, ushers, catechists, small group leaders, hospitality ministers, and anyone interested in helping make our parish a safer and more prepared community.
