We joyfully invite you to celebrate the great feast of Pentecost on Saturday, May, 23rd at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church.

The evening begins with the

Pentecost Vigil Mass at 4:00 PM

Pentecost recalls the powerful moment in Acts 2 when the Holy Spirit descended upon the disciples, fulfilling Jesus’ promise and uniting people from every nation, language, and culture into one Church.

The Church was born in fire, unity, and every language under heaven.

We warmly encourage everyone to wear cultural or traditional attire to Mass if you wish.

It is always such a beautiful witness to the universality of our Catholic faith and a visible reminder that the Holy Spirit gathers people from every nation into one family in Christ.

Whether your family has been here for generations or you came to the United States from another country, you are an essential part of our parish family. Come celebrate the beauty of the Church through food, fellowship, culture, and community.

🍽️ Here’s how you can participate:

Bring an appetizer, main dish, or dessert representing your heritage (serving approximately 12 or more people).
Sign up online by May 20th and let us know what dish you’ll bring. You can also sign up after the weekend Masses.
Include the country of origin, dish name, ingredients, and category.

We are also looking for Country/Regional Coordinators to help organize dishes and assist behind the scenes. If interested, simply indicate that on the signup form and someone from our social committee will reach out to you.

For ten years, Fr. Michael has faithfully poured out his life in service to Christ and His Church through the sacraments, preaching the Gospel, shepherding souls, and walking with so many through moments of joy, sorrow, healing, and encounter with Jesus.

What a gift to celebrate this milestone together on the very feast that gave birth to the Church he so faithfully serves.

Parish family and friends, come celebrate the Holy Spirit, the beauty of the Church, the richness of our many cultures, and Fr. Michael’s 10 years of priesthood together as one family in Christ.
