2025 CMAA Has Begun
- The Diocese of Joliet has officially launched the 2025 Catholic Ministries Annual Appeal (CMAA), centered on this year’s theme, “Open Your Heart to God’s Goodness.” In the weeks ahead, we’ll hear more about the impactful work the CMAA supports.
One shining example is the disABILITIES Ministry, which fosters inclusion and provides sacramental preparation for nearly 2,000 participants annually. Among them is the Schmitt family, a cherished part of our parish community. Lydia Schmitt, a devoted leader, coordinates the Reach program within the ministry and co-leads the Baptism Ministry, in addition to serving as the Business Office Assistant at Our Lady of Mercy. The Schmitt family’s story beautifully highlights how the CMAA supports ministries that create meaningful connections and empower others to encounter God’s love.
Take a moment to watch this inspiring video and see how the CMAA is making a difference in lives like the Schmitts'.
Scam Emails and Text Messages
- From time to time, there are phishing (SCAM) emails going out to members of the parish and staff claiming to be Father Michael as well as text messages.
Please note that Father Michael and Father Frank DO NOT send texts or emails asking for money or gift cards. If you receive a message appearing to be from Father Michael or Father Frank, please discard it (any email that does not have "olmercy.com" is a fake email) and DO NOT SEND ANY ELECTRONIC MONETARY AID. No one on the staff will personally ask for money in whatever form (gift cards etc). If someone sends you a private message asking for a donation of sorts, it's undoubtedly a fake account.

Support our New OLM Legacy Fund
- As Fr. Michael Kearney so beautifully shared (here is his letter from the Bulletin on the weekend of 11/23-11/24), our journey of faith calls us to prepare not only for our own eternity but also for the legacy we leave behind. The Legacy Fund was established with this vision:
- To help offset the growing costs of maintaining and enhancing our parish facilities.
- To support and expand the vital ministries that bring the Good News of Jesus Christ to life in our community.
- To ensure Our Lady of Mercy continues to thrive for generations to come, sharing hope and faith even in uncertain times.
- Every donation to the Legacy Fund will help build this enduring foundation. Your gift, no matter the size, is an act of faith that proclaims, "I believe in the mission of this parish, and I want to be part of its future."
Here’s how you can give today:- Online: Click here or the link below.
- By Check: Write "Legacy Fund" in the memo and mail it to the parish office or drop it in the collection basket.
- In Person: Visit our parish office during office hours to make your gift.
- Thank you for your generosity and support!
HVAC Fundraiser Campaign: A Grateful Update!!
- Dear Parish Family,
We are thrilled to announce that, thanks to your incredible generosity, the HVAC Fundraiser campaign has been a resounding success! Both of the remaining HVAC units that needed to be replaced are now fully funded, ensuring that our parish facilities will remain comfortable and welcoming for all.
Here’s how we reached our $140,000 goal:
- A $47,250 rebate significantly reduced the cost.
- The company that installed the units provided a credit toward the total expense, further lowering the amount.
- A final, extraordinary gift from a generous donor covered the balance after your donations.
We are profoundly grateful for every prayer, every donation, and every act of support that made this possible. Your selflessness and commitment to our parish community reflect the love and faith that binds us together.
Thank you for being a vital part of this milestone. May God bless you abundantly for your generosity!
Thank You for Your Generosity!
- Our FYE Budget Statement is now available; find it at this link.
Thank you for your faithful tithing and generous support of Our Lady of Mercy Parish. Because of you, we continue to live out our vision: offering every person a life-changing encounter with Jesus, growing disciples, and sending them on mission to change the world. - Your contributions enable us to provide sacraments, vibrant liturgies, small groups, Bible studies, Eucharistic Adoration, and so much more.
We are deeply grateful for your partnership in this mission.
